We're the Cambridge University Steel Pan Society, a society open to all at the university regardless of musical skill level.

CUSPS was founded by the women of Lucy Cavendish College in 2009, in an aim to 'promote the history and culture of steelpan and Caribbean culture in one of the most traditional English settings'.
​
We practise every Monday evening at Jesus College, however you can choose when to attend practices - we have a very relaxing atmosphere here at CUSPS. We usually hold three sessions on Mondays in Michaelmas, two for beginners and another for more experienced pannists. In Lent and Easter Term, there'll only be two sessions on Mondays.

From October 2022, we've been partnering with Saint Michael's and All Angels Steel Orchestra (SMASO) and their very own Musical Director Patrick - he'll be following on from Anna, our previous Musical Director of many years.
